Introduction

User can manage a task by clicking on any task created. A task will tie to a project.

To access Task, navigate to Work > Task.

The different this Task function between to the Task function in Project is it is listing entire task available regardless type of project that user is working on.

In this view, the user can see a summary list of task created with its status.

User can see;

List of Task available based on project (see Project column)

  • Assigned To
  • Due Date
  • Status
  • Action Button – Edit and Delete

If notice, the default view of the task available is not a task with under Completed status.

To do so, un-check the Hide Completed Tasks box

 

Once done, click Apply button.

Then, user can see the list of all task includes the Completed status.

 

New Task

By clicking on +New Task button, user can start establish new task

Task Category

There is no pre-define task category available.

Clicking on to +Task Category button to create new task category

User can Insert any category name and click Save button

User also can remove any created category by clicking Remove button

 

Update Task Status

There are many ways to update a task status

One of the method is by hovering the mouse over the STATUS column and change the status.

 

User can add Task Status, it is available in the Task Board – by adding another column clicking on the +Add Column button.

 

Edit Task

User can edit a task by clicking on the icon.

User can delete a task by clicking on the icon.

Once clicked, the user can see the detail about the task created, and update with relevant information.

 

Update Task

To update a task, the user can click on the task name.

 

Task Action

There are few actions a user can perform;

  • Reminder = send reminder via email to all task participants
  • Edit = edit a task
  • Pin = pinned a task, easier for team member to identify this task
  • Share = system will generate a link (URL) of the task, then user can share the link to any online media for public to view

In updating a task, the user can;

  • Add Sub-Task
  • Add File (Upload File)
  • Insert comment
  • Insert notes
  • Send a reminder to the team member
  • Mark Task as complete

 

Sub Task

User can add a sub-task

Click on Add Sub Task link, and user can see a Sub Task popup. Then user can;

  • Name: insert task name
  • Due Date: select the date

 

File

User can add file related to a task. This can be benefits especially when there is an ad hoc requirement to share a file during managing a task..

Click Upload File, then user can see an option to upload files

 

Comment

User and the team member involved in a task can add comment related to the project.
